Description
IC S1 Pendant Light by FLOS with an Interesting Suspension System The fact that a pendant light has a spherical glass shade is, in itself, nothing out of the ordinary. But when it’s suspended in such an extraordinary way as in the IC S1 pendant lamp, the result is a light fixture with that certain something—a light fixture that’s anything but ordinary. With the IC S1, designer Michael Anastassiades has created a pendant lamp that belongs to the IC lighting family and through which he aims to depict the balancing act he observed in a juggler. Just as the balls glide over a juggler’s arms without falling, the glass sphere of the IC S1 is balanced on a thin brass rod that also serves as its suspension. Michael Anastassiades designed the IC S1 pendant lamp for FLOS in 2014. The Italian company brings together some of the most renowned designers under one roof. The result is always products that win international design awards.
